Seleznev & Co. Ltd sees the quality system as a tool to be used to ensure shipowners receiving good service and to strengthen the company's position in the market.

It is the aim of Seleznev & Co. Ltd to carry out quality control in accordance with the requirements laid down in the ISO 9001 standards. Therefore, a list of primary goals has been drawn up, which the quality system is to help to fulfill.

This implies planning and error prevention are important areas within the quality system.

  • Work is carried out continuously to improve quality standards
  • All candidates are familiar with their individual jobs' quality requirements
  • All seafarers must hold the certificates in accordance with the requirement of STCW 78/95
  • No seafarer will be accepted for employment by the Company without the availability of a valid Medical Certificate
  • No seafarer will be engaged in employment on board a vessel without checking of his professional skills and English nowledge

Thinking about the future our Company has big database of cadets who continue studying in the Odessa State Marine Academy as well as in three Marine Colleges. Regularly our Company participates in final examination of the best students for the purpose of their hiring as cadets. In the future they will get perfect performance from masters and chief engineers and will have chance to occupy position of 3rd officers or 4th engineers after completion of education.

To secure shipowners against the falsification of seamen’s certificate there is State Register of seafarer’s documents of the Ukraine in Odessa. The inspectorate is authorized to conduct authenticity verification of seafarers’ documents of the Ukraine. The address of the electronic database of the Register of Ukrainian seafarers’ documents is at the IMO.

To meet the above-mentioned objectives, it is essential that the company is constantly informed of the shipowners' needs and expectations.

Quality can be defined as the degree to which the customers' expectations are fulfilled.

The company will do its best to ensure that the shipowner receives the highest possible level of need fulfillment. It will also do its best to ensure that the quality shortfall attributable to the company is as small as possible.
